In the past 24 hours we have been on a plane, a Tuk Tuk and spent the night on a train! We have taken some pics and I will post them within the next few days.
Our first day in Bangkok was a little scary. We were taking a nap in our Guesthouse in China Town and someone started to come in our room. We like to think it was housekeeping, but we had stayed in this Guesthouse before and they NEVER cleaned the room until after we left. Whoever it was started to open the door and we yelled at the and they shut it fast. Good thing we were only using the room for a shower.
We jumped on the train, second class, around 6PM last night and arrived in Chiang Mai about 8AM this morning. We met a woman from Canada who was an artist. She makes lamps out of gourds. We also met a man from Lapong who owned a restaurant. Was cool talking with them both. The car we were in was a sleeper car, I made the Princess take the top bunk. Both of us slept like babies!!!
Now we are out exploring the city. Just finished a foot spa treatment where 1000's of little fish chew the skin off of your feet! It tickled, Princess couldn't stand it 5 mins - she had to get out. I stayed in the whole 15 and my feet feel AWESOME!!!
Well that's all for now ... can't say that I'm missing the snow or work yet ... but I sure do miss the monkey!!!
